Catholic social teaching calls us to participate in the civic life of our communities. The NCHA equips Haitian Americans to engage — as voters, advocates, and community leaders — with their full voice and dignity.
Voter Registration & Education
We support eligible Haitian Americans in registering to vote and understanding the electoral process — in Kreyòl, English, and French. We offer nonpartisan voter education resources.
Policy Advocacy
We point our community to resources for advocating for policies that protect Haitian families — including TPS, immigration reform, healthcare access, and education equity.
Community Organizing
We support Haitian communities in building relationships with local elected officials, government agencies, and civic institutions.
Know Your Rights
We provide education on the rights of Haitian immigrants, TPS holders, and citizens — including rights during ICE encounters, in the workplace, and as a student. Available in Kreyòl, English, and French.
TPS Advocacy — Act Now
The U.S. House has passed H.R. 1689 to extend Haiti TPS through 2029. Now it needs the Senate to act. Call or email your Senator: “Pass H.R. 1689. Protect Haiti TPS.” Find your Senator at senate.gov/senators/senators-contact.htm.
