The National Center of the Haitian Apostolate (NCHA) has served Haitian Catholic communities across the United States since 1979. Under the leadership of Bishop Jacques Fabre-Jeune, CS, liaison of the Haitian Apostolate in the United States, the Center connects parishes, forms leaders, and accompanies families across the country and the global diaspora.
Our mission stands on three pillars
Fòmasyon — Pastoral formation through HALI (the Haitian Apostolate Leadership Institute) and the Liturgical Leadership Workshop, preparing lay leaders and liturgical ministers for parishes nationwide.
Edikasyon — Youth and education through iAHM (I American Haitian Movement), scholarships, and mentorship, raising the next generation of Haitian Catholic leaders from Middle School through College.
Imigrasyon — Immigration support with plain-language TPS guidance, trusted Catholic legal referrals, and pastoral accompaniment in Kreyòl, English, and French.
Each Advent, the Center leads the National Pilgrimage of the Haitian Apostolate to the Basilica of the National Shrine in Washington, D.C., gathering the faithful from across the country in prayer, sung liturgy, and procession.
