The Catechism (nos. 799–801) teaches that charisms are graces of the Holy Spirit for the good of the whole Church, discerned by her pastors. The U.S. bishops' statement Grace for the New Springtime (1997) affirmed the Charismatic Renewal as a grace for the Church, and CHARIS — established by the Holy See in 2019 — serves as the Renewal's international point of reference.
Every Renouvo group serves under the pastor and the diocesan bishop, is centered on the Eucharist, honors Our Lady, and leads members deeper into the sacramental life — never away from it.
